Returning with the bold new production, That Four Letter Word, award-winning theatre initiative Ain’t I A Woman?  by Landé Belo celebrates the notion, popularised by bell hooks, of ‘love as an action’ rather than a feeling.

Centred on Black women’s experiences, the production seeks to challenge widely misunderstood ideas about love by showcasing a series of stories which explore the messy reality of what it means to love and be loved in different contexts.

Crucially, the show investigates a compelling question: how do we practise love in our everyday lives?

That Four Letter Word plays at The Bread & Roses Theatre, 68 Clapham Manor Street, Clapham, London SW4 6DZ from Tuesday 14th July to Saturday 18th July 2026.
