Journée de commémoration de l’abolition de l’esclavage – France – 10.05.14
On 10 mai, France commemorates the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave trade and its abolition. It recalls that many people continue to be the victims of the slave trade and the worst forms of exploitation all over the world.
In Paris, events will start at 16h20 at Jardin du Luxembourg, with a speech from the French president. This will be followed by concerts at 17h30 and 20h30.
